In this essay I did extensive research into the history of the horror genre from its literary inception to contemporary film. Each section of the essay focuses around a different trend in horror and how real world prejudice influences said trend. For each I would read a different popular work and draw my own conclusions, then research into that work, how it was a part of that greater trend, and how prejudice influenced that work in particular.
